How to Register for PowerShare

Patients at Bryan Health can conveniently access their images through Nuance PowerShare at no cost.

Shared images are only available for 45 days. To maintain access past this time, patients should save the file to “My Images” in their PowerShare account or download to a secure location of their choice for future reference.

Get Started

  1. Complete the Authorization for Disclosure of Health Information

    If completing in MyChart from the Sharing Hub, use the Request Formal Copy of Health Records option.

    If you do not have a MyChart account, complete the online form or submit the form by email or mail.

    Fill out all information to initiate accessing your images. Be sure to include which Bryan Health location you visited and the types of records you’d like included so we can assign the appropriate images.

  2. Setup your Nuance PowerShare account

    You will only need to complete this step the first time. If you have an existing PowerShare account, skip to the next step.

    Within 5 business days of submitting your request, you’ll receive an email from Nuance PowerShare Notifications to setup your account. This account is where you’ll access your images. This can be completed on your mobile device or computer.

    You should enter all required fields, then check all boxes for Terms and Conditions, HIPAA and allowing Bryan to upload images to your My Image folder. When complete, select Continue.

  3. Add your images to your account

    After registering and logging in, you’ll arrive at the home screen. Here you should click the tab labeled Images to access your images. You’ll be prompted to enter a Token Code to access the images.

    • If you have a MyChart account, your Token Code is available in a MyChart message from our staff.
    • If you do not have a MyChart account, you will receive an email indicating you have a MyChart message from Bryan Health. You may use your birthdate to view that message and access your Token Code.

    Note: Nuance PowerShare can be accessed from any approved internet-connected device including iOS or Android devices such as iPhones, iPads, Android smartphones and tablets.

  4. Save your images to maintain access

    Option 1 – Copy your images to your PowerShare account

    Copied images will remain available for the life of the account. Images not copied to your account will be deleted after 45 days.

    How to Copy Images

    1. From the images screen, select the image you want to save and choose Copy from the menu options on the right.
    2. You will be prompted to confirm the image copy at a $0.00 cost. Select Confirm and the process will begin to transfer the images to your account so you can maintain access to your images and share with others, if desired. You will receive a message upon completion.
      Note: The copy process could take a few seconds or up to an hour. It is recommended that you refresh your screen to check for the confirmation message.
    3. Once the copy is complete, your images will be stored in the My Images folder.

    Option 2 – Download your images

    Downloaded images will save as DICOM images and you may choose where to store on your computer, disc, external hard drive or mobile device.

    When downloading, you will have the option to include an images viewer for this file type. This is an option in case the person viewing the file does not have the ability to access DICOM images. In most cases, you will want to select Yes to this option.
