Clinical Trials

Clinical Trials

Clinical trials are research studies in which people participate as volunteers to test new methods to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.

Some people fear that enrolling in a clinical trial means they may chance receiving no treatment at all. In reality, a person in a clinical trial receives either the best cancer treatment currently known for their cancer, or a new and possibly more effective treatment.

Access to clinical trials and cancer prevention studies are available through oncology physician offices. Visit with your oncologist to determine if there is a clinical trial or study that may be available for you.
