Shelley Baldassano

Shelley Baldassano, LIMHP, LADC, LPC

Shelley provides therapy to adult and adolescent clients, specializing in diagnosis, assessment and evaluation. She has been a licensed provider in the addiction treatment field for 11 years. Shelley has a history of working with a diverse clientele, primarily utilizing CBT and the 12-step model of recovery. She is passionate about helping others recognize and use their internal resources and strengths. She has additional training in working with chronic mental illness, criminogenic, assessing for suicidality and has a passion for women’s issues.

BJ Brittenham

BJ Brittenham, RN, LADC

BJ provides therapy to adolescent clients, specializing in admissions. She has worked in substance use and mental health for 43 years and enjoys working with adolescents, families, probation officers and referral sources. BJ has a passion for the challenges youth and their families face in recovery.

valerie consbruck

Valerie Consbruck, LIMHP, LADC

Valerie provides therapy to adolescent and adult clients, specializing in substance use and addiction. She has worked in substance use and mental health for 40 years and enjoys working with clients of all ages. Valerie has a passion for adolescents and has additional training in grief work, trauma, domestic violence and families.

dan dallman

Dan Dallmann, LADC, BS

Dan provides therapy to adolescent and adult clients, specializing in spiritual counseling. He has worked in substance use and mental health for 15 years and enjoys working with people from all walks of life. Dan has a passion for the power of forgiveness and has additional training in pastoral and cross-cultural ministries.

brad decker

Brad Decker, LADC

Brad provides therapy to adults and adolescents, primarily in the group setting. He joined our staff in 2016 and has worked in several roles, serving clients in all levels of care. Individual client goals focus on motivational enhancement by identifying healthy aspects of continuous personal and social development.

Mary Gates

Mary Gates, LADC

Mary provides therapy to adult clients, specializing in admissions. She has worked in the field of substance use and mental health for 33 years and enjoys helping individuals and families access the treatment spectrum. Mary has a passion for helping others and is very skilled at navigating insurance resources.

Jim Holmquist

Jim Holmquist, LADC

Jim provides therapy to adult clients, specializing in 12-step recovery programs, psychology of addiction and stages of recovery. He has worked in substance use for over 30 years and enjoys engaging clients in the 12-step model. He has a passion for helping clients connect with the stages of recovery and their own personal recovery plan.

Jill johnson

Jill Johnson, LIMHP, LADC

Jill provides therapy to mainly the adult population. She has been a dually credentialed therapist since 2009, but has worked in the addictions and mental health field in various positions since 2005. Jill relies heavily on behavioral interventions, but is well versed in other treatment modalities. She strives to meet her client's needs by recognizing their individual lifestyles and habits in order to match her treatment interventions in accordance with each client's identified goals.

Nicole Larsen

Nicole Larsen, LIMHP, LADC

Nicole provides therapy to adult clients, specializing in dual diagnosis. She has worked in substance use and mental health for 17 years and enjoys working with adult population who struggle with dual diagnosis. Nicole has a passion for helping clients who have chronic mental health issues and has additional training in DBT.

Kelly Martin

Kelly Martin, LIMHP, LADC

Kelly provides therapy to adult and adolescent clients, specializing in substance use and co-occurring disorders. She has experience helping individuals who struggle with severe and persistent mental health concerns, and working with individuals through the use of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Kelly's primary passion as a therapist is to help people build a meaningful and purposeful life through a person-centered therapeutic approach, and provide a safe atmosphere for people to discover their strengths while directing them towards new skills and possibilities.

stephanie mcleese-griffin

Stephanie McLeese-Griffin, LIMHP, LADC, LPC

Stephanie oversees all clinical and operational functions of the intake process for clients accessing substance use services at the Independence Center. She has experience in providing therapy services to adolescents and adults specializing in co-occurring disorders and severe and persistent mental illness. She also has additional training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and enjoys taking a person centered approach to care.

kimberley mundil

Kimberley Mundil, LIMHP

Kimberley provides therapy to adolescent and adult clients, specializing in substance use, cognitive distortions, trauma, suicide and loss. She has worked in substance use and mental health for 24 years and enjoys working with diverse populations, trauma patients and a variety of addictive tendencies. Kimberley has a passion for family systems, autism spectrum disorders and trauma and has additional training in EMDR and suicide prevention and post-vention.

Nancy Pennell, LADC

Nancy provides therapy to adult clients. She has worked in substance use for 43 years in several settings such as criminal justice, long-term women’s programs and short term residential.

Michelle Sarafian

Michelle Sarafian, LMHP

Michelle provides individual and group therapy to adult clients. She has been a mental health practitioner for 20 years. Her special interest and training is in providing treatment for people experiencing chronic mental illness, developmental disabilities, grief and loss, and substance use disorders.
