Youth Treatment
Bryan Independence Center offers treatment programs specifically geared to the needs of youth, ages 15-18, and for short-term residential ages 16-18.
Our youth treatment includes special programming to help youth clients:
- Remain involved in school
- Cope with peer pressures and family issues
- Focus on developmental issues related to addiction that are unique to their age range
We also have several opportunities for youth to participate in gender-focused programming where they focus on issues in a group therapy setting with peers of the same gender. We encourage family involvement and participation as well as involvement from case workers and guardians.
Family/Parent Support Group
Family/Parent Support Group
Family/Parent Support Group is a service the Bryan Independence Center offers to support families and parents of individuals experiencing substance use and addiction issues.
You do not need to be involved with services at the Bryan Independence Center to attend. The group is available to all families and parents in the community free of charge. No registration is necessary.
Participants may have a family member already in substance use counseling or they may have just discovered that their family member is having substance use issues. Family/Parent Support Group is a program where the families can talk about what they and their family member are going through and relate to others who are experiencing similar situations.
The group is facilitated by a substance use counselor. Family/Parent Support Group is held every Thursday from 6-7 p.m. in the lower level at the Bryan Independence Center, 1640 Lake Street, Lincoln, Neb.
