Bryan Independence Center Earns Blue Distinction
The Bryan Independence Center was recently designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Substance Use Treatment and Recovery by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska.
To be considered for the designation, applicant providers must meet all criteria for Quality and Value Criteria, Business Criteria and Local Blue Plan Criteria. As stated in the program selection criteria, the highly respected designation acknowledges the expertise providers have demonstrated and their commitment to improving quality and affordability.
"I am extremely proud of this distinction," said Jerome Barry, director of the Independence Center, LifePointe and Pastoral Care. "It validates the quality work we believe we have provided for many years in this community and in southeast Nebraska."
2019 was the first year that a Blue Distinction was being awarded by Blue Cross Blue Shield. The Independence Center is one of three awarded in the state of Nebraska, and there are 107 Blue Distinction Centers for Substance Use nationally.
