At Bryan Independence Center,
- We have 21 clinicians licensed as alcohol and drug counselors and/or mental health practitioners.
-
We offer 26 short-term residential beds available for adults, adolescents, males and females, and three detox/inpatient beds
-
There are between 120-170 active clients in all of our services
-
We conduct about 2,000 drug and alcohol evaluations annually
-
We adhere to a "Drop Down" de-intensifying care philosophy. Our levels of care are: detox, inpatient, short-term residential (STR), day treatment/partial care (PC), intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient (OP)
-
Our interdisciplinary support staff includes physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, dietitians, a spiritual counselor, a teacher and mental health techs
-
Each client receives an individualized treatment plan, which determines the length of stay. Our individualized approach includes biopsychosocial, developmental, disease concept, heredity, medications, co-occurring conditions, family/significant others, 12 Step, AA/NA, sponsor, relapse prevention, supportive-expressive, individual and group therapy, motivational enhancement, behavioral care and more.
-
Our two driving philosophies are: 1) to provide transitional care, involving decreasing levels of care for three-six months, to promote client success following treatment, and 2) to involve the family and significant others in the treatment process as much as possible.
