About the DAISY Award (Diseases Attacking the Immune SYstem)

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses was created in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at 33 of ITP, an auto-immune disease. The family was awestruck by the exceptional clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created this international award to say thank you to nurses everywhere.

About the TULIP Award (Touching Unique Lives In Practice)

The TULIP Award honors a Patient Care Tech (PCT), Nurse Apprentice (NA), or Mental Health Tech (MHT) who goes above and beyond their traditional role to provide compassionate care and outstanding service for the patient and/or patient family needs in clinical areas.
