What is Epic Community Connect?

Epic Community Connect is a program through which Bryan Health partners with independent practices and hospitals to offer an integrated electronic health record (EHR). By leveraging the shared resources and expertise of an experienced Epic organization, this collaboration enhances patient care across all participating organizations and improves continuity of care for patients.

How it works

Bryan Health serves as the software partner for independent practices and hospitals. We provide comprehensive support for development, training, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Epic environment.

Benefits

Access to Epic allows patient medical history, whether documented by your organization or ours, to exist in one chart, providing a complete longitudinal record of all medical care. The system is typically upgraded twice per year to adopt the latest features and functionality Epic offers. In 2024, Epic recognized the Bryan Health Team with their Gold Star 9 rating, demonstrating our adoption of best practices and cutting-edge technology.

Epic Community Connect allows your organization to completely limit access to billing and revenue cycle environments to your users, while offering the benefit of shared clinical and demographic information. Allowing your organization to benefit through reduced costs secondary to shared resources.

Who can use it?

Independent physician groups and hospitals, including specialty hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers in Nebraska and our surrounding states, can use Community Connect via Bryan Health.

Features

Epic Community Connect provides access to a wide range of Epic applications, features, and support services. Security controls ensure that non-employed providers can share clinical information while keeping other data private.

Does the Community Connect team provide ongoing support and services after go-live?

Bryan Health’s Epic Community Connect team is here to support you for each stage of your Epic journey. You will continue to receive new hire training and ongoing training, for system upgrades or to learn efficiency tips. You’ll have access to phone-based support, and have a dedicated customer success manager (CSM) when you need additional services or assistance.
