The moment I stepped into this beautiful center, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace. Sitting by the windows, watching the pond and flowers, I could finally breathe again. That same calm greets me every time we return. The staff here are truly the heart of this place. I may not know everyone's names, but I feel surrounded by a supportive family.
Occasionally, after one of my appointments, I'll stick around this place for a while and work or read or just be. While it is a place people come to when they are very sick, often discouraged, and sometimes incredibly weary, the attention given to detail in this building has made it a place that also feels very healing. Hopeful. Even creative. I can only thank God that He has provided a place I don't dread coming to. I look forward to seeing the people here and the surroundings that make me remember there is beauty in suffering, hope in times of despair.
