Merrick Medical Center Billing, Insurance and Financial Assistance
Merrick Medical center is a nonprofit organization that depends on prompt payment for services to continue our high level of patient care.
You can expect to receive a bill from MMC for your hospital stay. You also will receive separate bills from your doctor and other consultants involved in your care (such as radiologists, anesthesiologists, etc.).
You will receive monthly statements for services that are not paid for by your insurance company. You may request an itemization of all charges. For more information or questions, please call 308-946-3015.
When you receive your monthly statement for services, please pay your balance promptly or call to set up a payment plan. We accept cash, personal checks, VISA, Discover and Mastercard. We also have options including short-term and interest-free payment plans, long-term and low-interest payment plans, and charity care.
To set up a payment plan or make a credit card payment, please call 308-946-3015. We also offer online bill pay.
We will file your account with your insurance carrier. We encourage you to keep in contact with your insurance company to ensure prompt processing of your claim.
We allow 45 days for your insurance company to process your claim before billing you directly. We appreciate payment in full for any balance not covered by insurance. If you cannot pay in full, please contact us at 308-946-3015 for payment options.
If you do not have insurance, your account is ultimately your or a guarantor’s responsibility for full payment. Payment options are available. Our billing office is happy to work with you. To learn more, please call 308-946-3015.
