KRMC Named a Top Performer in Vizient Quality and Accountability Awards

Kearney Regional Medical Center has been recognized as a top performer in the Vizient Bernard A. Birnbaum, M.D., Quality and Accountability Awards, ranking among the leading hospitals in the Complex Care Medical Center cohort.

This national recognition honors healthcare organizations that consistently deliver high-quality care across key performance measures. Vizient’s Quality and Accountability Ranking evaluates hospitals on safety, mortality, effectiveness, efficiency, patient centeredness and variation in care. The data is sourced from the Vizient Clinical Data Base, the HCAHPS patient experience survey and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Healthcare Safety Network.

KRMC was recognized within the Complex Care Medical Center cohort, which includes hospitals that treat a high volume of patients with complex medical needs but are not classified as academic medical centers. These facilities often serve as regional referral centers and provide specialized services for higher acuity cases. Vizient uses this cohort to ensure fair benchmarking among hospitals with similar patient populations and service capabilities.

The award reflects the dedication, expertise and compassion of KRMC’s entire team, whose commitment to delivering exceptional care continues to make a meaningful impact on the communities they serve.
