Check out these opportunities to learn about childbirth, breastfeeding and tours of the Grand Island Regional Medical Center Maternity Center.
Maternity Center Tours
Maternity Center Tours are offered every Third Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m.. The tour begins at the Maternity Center Entrance Waiting Room on the East side of Grand Island Regional Medical Center. Private tours are also available by calling 308-675-4583.
Breastfeeding Basics 101
Set yourself up for a successful breastfeeding journey before your baby is born. The class is held every third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., following the Maternity Center Tours.
- Step-by-step guide of what to expect after giving birth.
- How to establish and build your milk supply.
- How-to's for pumping and storing breast milk.

Birthing Class
Upcoming classes, which are held in two parts, are:
- August 21 & 28, 2025
- November 6 & 13, 2025
The cost to attend is $40 per couple. Attendees will meet at the hospital's front lobby.

Watch Me Grow
This breastfeeding support group is offered by GIRMC lactation specialists. It is a great opportunity to learn from their expertise, as well as the experiences shared from other breastfeeding moms. The group meets weekly:
- Mondays from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- Thursday evenings from 5:00 -7:00 p.m.
