My Approach to Care

My approach to care involves listening carefully to my patients so I hear what they are telling me. I also believe it is important to take the time to understand my patients. I’m interested in mental health. This can affect people over life and the things that are important to us, like our work, our families and people we love.

It’s a privilege to care for people and I find this to be what my life is called to be.

Very friendly and very careing.
November 02, 2018
Dr. Rector is great and so is the staff!
November 02, 2018
I was called to come 15 minutes before my appointment, which I did, but then I sat in the waiting room for about 40 minutes. That's entirely too long. Thank you.
October 29, 2018
Dr. Rector is a patient who takes time with his, or excuse me Dr. Rector is a doctor who takes time with this patients and is extremely caring. I've been very lucky to have him as my physician.
October 29, 2018
Great provider. He has never let me down. Got in and out quickly. 2 thumbs up!
October 23, 2018
The wait time is ridiculous. I waited at least 30 minutes before being taken back and then another 20 before being seen by the doctor.
October 22, 2018
I don't like not reaching a live person when I call. I have only started using this provider, but both times I have called for an appointment, I wait until the next day for a call back for an appointment. The time that I call for an appointment is picked when I have time to look at my calendar. When they call me back, I may not be at the right place to check for availability. I would rather wait on hold a few minutes than get a call the next day.
October 17, 2018
Dr. Rector is an incredibly kind and knowledgeable physician. I trust him entirely for my personal health care. However, I had to wait an hour to see him in a crowded waiting room. The office environment/decore is drab and the sliding doors make the exam rooms look like jail cells. I will stick with Dr. Rector, but I'm disappointed in the wait time, staff busy-ness and ugly office.
October 17, 2018
I was recommended to Dr. Rector from a friend. He didn't disappoint. Dr. Rector is a fantastic care provider. He listened thoroughly, and explained my care thoroughly and in a manner I could easily comprehend. I will happily recommend him to any of my friends and colleagues to be their primary care provider, and will now be using him as mine.
October 17, 2018
Dr. Rector was awesome. We discussed the results from my bloodwork. He is always very attentive to my concerns. He has been my PCP for the last 10 or 11 years. Great doctor!!
October 16, 2018
Wait time to be seen by Dr. Rector is long, but I believe that it is because he does take time to ask questions and to listen.
October 15, 2018
Dr. Rector recently moved from Autumn Ridge/CHI to the Bryan family of providers. When I signed the Bryan paperwork that was a document I signed about being on time for my appointment. Why is this not a 2-way agreement? I had an 8:50am appointment and didn't see the Dr. until about 9:30. Please provide an address where I can send my billing for my time.
October 15, 2018
Dr Rector is the best Dr in Lincoln. The staff that works with him are wonderful and truly care. Thank you
October 10, 2018
Ialways enjoy speaking with Dr. Rector.
October 08, 2018
all very nice.
October 08, 2018
Was in room waiting to see Physition about 50 minuets.
September 28, 2018
My health records do not seem to be correct.
September 26, 2018
I have been going to Dr. Rector for a little over 10 years now and I have said how much I like him, and he has found a lot of things - he's the one that discovered my cancer and I ended up getting diagnosed, he's the one that found the cholesterol build up in my carotid artery, and sent me in to have tests done and stuff - now I go to the Heart Institute. I recommend him fairly highly. Thank you.
September 19, 2018
I've gone to Dr. Rector now several years and I'm glad that I transferred because he has my records and he's always been very helpful, and I trust him with my help. Thanks.
September 19, 2018
Dr. Rector is an excellent doctor and better person.
September 18, 2018
On the third question. I accidentally pressed 1 and I meant press 4 Dr. Rector is always awesome and listen to All of questions that we have. Thank you.
September 17, 2018
Parking is an issue when coming to an appointment, and the wait time to get the appointment was over 45 minutes from the appointed time. So that's a problem.
September 17, 2018
I have always gotten the best medical treatment and information from Dr. Rector. I have always been extremely comfortable with him and most importantly I believe that he not only listens to what you have to say but he hears you. He takes the time to make sure your answers have all been answered and you are important to him, as a patient. I recommend him to my friends all the time.
September 17, 2018
Dr. Rector is very pleasant, personable and concerned with my health.
September 14, 2018
Dr. Rector is very well to take care for patients. Listen and what's patient need and treat them well. Nice receptionist staffs. They very helpful. Thanks to all for good services. Good jobs.!
September 12, 2018
Yeah, when I came in, I waited over an hour after the scheduled appointment. That was the only negative thing that I would have to say about the experience. Thank you and have a good day. Goodbye.
September 11, 2018
The office was totally disorganized. I arrived a half hour ahead of time, and there was a line out the doors to try and walk people in for appointments. The gentleman in line was actually there a half hour ahead time also that he was late for appointment. He was seeing the same doctor I was. My name was in the computer wrong,it took awhile to get corrected. It just seemed like this new office is going through a lot of growing pains as far as people use the equipment, the software and everything else, maybe some additional training's required. Thank you very much.
September 11, 2018
Now that there is access to the electronic visit notes, I would prefer to have MY time spent with my doctor talking face-to-face, not sitting there for an extra 25 minutes while he does his charting. He could do that after I leave and then I would review the electronic report after my appointment and contact his office if I felt there were any incongruencies with his report. I don't want to wait for a hard copy now that there's rapid online access. I don't appreciate giving up my sick leave so he can complete his paperwork. IF it must happen during the appointment, then please, please IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THE MICROPHONE/RECORDING DEVICE so when he speaks, it picks it up the first time. Having to sit there while he repeats a paragraph into the machine is tremendously annoying. I feel that charting throughout the appointment is distracting for both the doctor and myself. It's not a fluid conversation and I feel concerns on both sides get sidetracked or forgotten due to the attention required by the charting. Now that we have online scheduling, it said my appointment was to last 20 minutes. I was there with the doctor for 50 minutes, after waiting almost eight minutes for him to come into the room after the PA checked me in--and I was the FIRST PATIENT OF THE DAY. I may have had only a 20 minute appointment if again, I was not forced to sit there for his charting.
September 10, 2018
I had a really great experience all the way from my first phone call, to scheduling, and I got right in. Everyone at the front desk when I checked in was really friendly and the nurses as well were very concerned and, you know, wanted to help and get all the information they needed and related to the doctor very well Dr. Rector as always is awesome and very in tune with how I'm feeling and what my treatment best treatment needs. He believes is necessary. So I really genuinely love coming to your office and I am really happy with all the new building looks. So, thank you.
September 10, 2018
Usually takes too long to be seen when we have an appt
September 07, 2018
The only thing that I think you could improve on is do away with the computer thing. When you try to call and get an appointment or talk to the scheduler or nurse, you never get through and then you're never there when you call back. Dr. Rector is a great doctor. I wouldn't think about going with anyone else.
September 05, 2018
I really like Dr. Rector---I feel he gives me the time I need.
September 05, 2018
Satisfied.
August 31, 2018
Yeah, they were just kind of, it was confusing because they just moved to a new office and some of the information wasn't in there yet. But other than that I am very well pleased. Thank you.
August 31, 2018
Dr Rector has been my Dr for about 7 years now. I feel that he really connects with me, listens to what I say and gives good feedback about my health.
August 29, 2018
Dr. Rector was unsure about what to do about swelling in my ankles and legs from blood pressure medicine and said he would contact me but I have heard nothing.
August 28, 2018
Dr. Rector was great, as always. My problem was the amount of time I spent in the waiting room (over an hour) with a lot of other people, also waiting. When I got to the exam room, I found out that none of my medical records had been input into the computer system and that not all of the ordered blood tests had been completed. Thus, Dr. Rector did not have my medical history to compare and discuss my results. I then had to have another blood draw to complete the tests that were not run with my pre-appointment testing. In all, I spent two hours at this location with very little feedback. I understand that implementing a new computer system is troublesome but perhaps they should limit the number of appointments until everything is fully functional. Also, I really don't appreciate being exposed to that many potentially ill people in the waiting room.
August 28, 2018
Dr Rector is very kind. He seems to be concerned about my health issues and is thorough.
August 24, 2018
Dr Rector is a wonderful doctor. He never rushes and truly cares.
August 24, 2018
I just want you to know that I had to give blood and the lady that did my bloodwork, I couldn’t believe it, she got blood on the very first try and no black and blue mark left at all. And then when I see Dr. Rector, I am so pleased with my service and just his way of doctoring me. I am more more than happy and I'm so glad that I have him as my doctor. Thank you.
August 22, 2018
I don't think it was all the doctors fault for my extremely disappointing visit. The scheduler is not very good at all, It took 26 hours for her to call me back to schedule an appointment. I wanted over an a hour both times I had to go in. There was no chart for me, I was transferred from the old place and parking was horrible. The doct4or himself just look tired that day and extremely too tired and I probably am thinking of switching to a different facility. It was just a nightmare. Thank you.
July 24, 2018
Wonderful staff! My family all see Dr Rector. Personable, knowledgeable and effective.
July 24, 2018
My appointment was at 8:40 I was done at 10:30
July 23, 2018
Dr. Rector does a wonderful job. They are learning a new computer system so it took a little more time to figure how to operate it. Other than that it was a great experience and I'm glad the clinic is there and I'm so happy that Dr. Rector is now with Bryan.
July 23, 2018
With just opening the staff was friendly and helpful
July 20, 2018
Not enough parking. They just opened so it's all new & takes time. Once it's been there for a while, hopefully it'll get faster to get in & out. Everyone has been friendly.
July 20, 2018
They are transitioning from old location to new location and computer system. They are experiencing a learning curve. In 6 months, the next appointment should feel more normal.
July 20, 2018
I have been a patient of Dr. Rector for a long time. He's the best doctor I've ever had.
July 19, 2018
It was a longer wait to due the amount of patients being seen during the transition of buildings and companies so I can understand the wait. It was about 2 hours in order to be seen for 5 minutes. Not upset, just a long wait.
July 19, 2018
We did not see the doctor himself, we were in for a blood test as an INR and we were there almost two hours for the blood test and we never got the results when we called the next day. The telephone system is terrible. You cannot get through to talk to a person at all when it says call to find out your results you call and you don't know which number to push just like now, we were in for the INR not to see the doctor but you never give us a choice on what number to push. I am his wife and he is sitting right here but that is our comments. Thank you.
July 19, 2018
I had questions that did not pertain to my original visit. These were answered and accommodated. I am pleased with the care I received.
July 19, 2018
I am always happy with the care I receive from Dr. Rector, but I will say that having to sit there while he click click clicks on the computer and types most of the time is frustrating to me. He was in the room with me for under 15 minutes, and I would estimate that about ten of that was spent on the computer with me sitting there silently. I understand in the age of technology it's so much easier to get all your charting done while the patient is there so you don't have to do it at the end of the day, but you really lose me when I'm expected to sit there so you save time. The time of your patients is valuable, also. And making us sit there and wait on you even more than we already have is insulting. In fact, I told my husband after leaving that I'm probably going to be looking for a different physician from here on out.
July 17, 2018
Dr. Rector was amazing no issues with him but I just can never get a hold of ANYONE in the office calling multiple times no one ever responds to my messages that I leave and that is unprofessional to me
July 17, 2018
Everyone was very nice and treated me like a friend of theirs.
July 17, 2018
I don't know what to say. It was real interesting that they, we sat in the room for about 45 minutes before the doctor came, that was the only thing I was concerned about, but when he did come he was very thorough. That's all I can say.
July 17, 2018
Good for a new office that just opened up and was in day two of their operation.
July 17, 2018
It was just a, I know there is a lot of transition going on so there was more waiting than usual, so that was expected.
July 16, 2018
So far it's fine
July 16, 2018
I had a 8:00 am appt and did not get back till 9:00. Doctor needs some lab tests and that was another hour and I had to leave without having my blood drawn. Received a call the next day from doctor's nurse scheduling me to a referral doctor and my doctor told me he wanted blood tests before referring me on. Place was a mess with people all around. Training should have taken place before opening of the new office. I will not go back for a week or so till things get better.
