Our Kearney Regional Childbirth Class consists of four sessions taught by experienced nurses, certified childbirth educators and infant car seat technicians. This multi-week class allows parents-to-be to gradually prepare for labor, delivery, and life with a newborn.
Class Topics Include:
- Body changes with pregnancy and preparing for birth
- Pre-labor signs and the stages of labor
- Breathing and relaxation techniques
- Managing pain and encouraging comfort
- Medical procedures and pain management options
- Cesarean birth
- Postpartum and newborn care
- Breastfeeding basics (plus access to an online breastfeeding education video taught by a certified lactation consultant)
- Car seat safety and infant CPR
- And more!
Each registration fee includes a support person, all class sessions, a course booklet, and access to the breastfeeding education video after completing the class.
