Kearney Regional Medical Center Welcomes Ryan Pavelka, DO

Kearney Regional Medical Center would like to welcome Ryan Pavelka, DO, to the Emergency Medicine team.

A Nebraska native, Dr. Pavelka grew up on a farm near Glenvil, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for rural life. His journey in medicine began at Hastings College, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology, graduating Magna Cum Laude with distinction. It was also at Hastings College where he met his wife, marking the beginning of both a personal and professional journey.

Dr. Pavelka earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. He then returned to Nebraska to complete his Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, where he trained from July 2022 to July 2025.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Pavelka enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and just about anything that gets him outdoors.
