Bryan Medical Center has named Adrienne Olson, DNP, RN, FACHE, the organization’s new chief nursing officer effective August 8, 2022. Olson succeeds Lisa Vail, RN, DNP, NEA-BC who transitions to a new chief nursing officer role for the Bryan Health system.

Olson is currently chief nursing officer and clinical services executive at Kearney Regional Medical Center, part of Bryan Health. She brings ten years of CNO experience to her new role at Bryan Medical Center. At Kearney, she had an integral role in the construction and accreditation of the new hospital and went on to lead initiatives to improve quality, patient experience, and both employee and provider engagement.

“Patients at Bryan Medical Center will benefit from Adrienne’s ability to nurture cultures of customer service and employee engagement," said John Woodrich, chief executive officer of Bryan Medical Center and executive vice president of Bryan Health. “The expertise she has gained at Kearney Regional will further enhance the care we provide.”

Olson earned her doctor of nursing practice degree from Creighton University in Omaha and her bachelor's and master's of science in nursing from Clarkson College in Omaha. She also serves on the board of directors of the Western Iowa and Nebraska Chapter of the American College of Health Care Executives.
