Bryan Health Surpasses $40 Million Fundraising Goal for b2020-Choose Your Impact Campaign
Four years ago, Bryan Health announced b2020-Choose Your Impact, a comprehensive fundraising campaign to raise $40 million to improve health care in our region and prepare for emerging needs in the future. Thanks to the generosity of our community, Bryan has surpassed that goal more than a year early, raising nearly $47.5 million.
“This was the most ambitious private philanthropic effort we’ve launched since money was raised to build Bryan Memorial Hospital and Lincoln General Hospital in the 1920’s,” said Bob Ravenscroft, vice president for advancement, Bryan Health. “To not only surpass the goal, but to do it over a year in advance, it’s incredible.”
b2020 is structured to meet the personalized philanthropic interests of the individual supporter with a comprehensive list of opportunities for impact throughout Bryan Health. There are three distinct categories that supporters have impacted and left a lasting legacy.
The Environment You Create – Capital construction and equipment purchases. Examples include the Bryan Independence Center, Bryan Counseling Center, Bryan Rehabilitation Garden, NICU Rooftop Healing Garden, and the Bryan East Campus Renovation.
The Knowledge You Impart – Educating our future health professionals at Bryan College of Health Sciences to serve our patients of today and tomorrow. Examples include endowed scholarships, community education programs, Stop the Bleed training and continuing education programs.
The Lives You Enrich – Support for the heart and soul of health care at Bryan, our physicians, nurses and staff who care for our patients, families, guests and community. Examples include advanced certification for sexual assault nurse examiners, special needs clothing closet, Hope for Hunger program and Angel Eye Camera System for NICU families separated from their babies.
“Lincoln is experiencing a historic period of growth, similar to what was going on nearly 90 years ago,” Ravenscroft said. “To see so many people give generously to address our current opportunities and future needs, it’s extremely gratifying. Bryan is well equipped to serve this region for decades to come.”
Last week, Bryan Health and its donors celebrated the milestone achievement with a reception and short program at Nebraska Innovation Campus. To learn more about the accomplishments of b2020-Choose Your Impact, visit bryanhealth.org/b2020.
