Merrick Medical Center Selects Paul A. Clark as President/CEO
CENTRAL CITY, Neb. — Paul A. Clark will become president/CEO of Merrick Medical Center on Dec. 30, 2018. He has been serving as interim president/CEO since the departure of Julie Murray in August after four and a half years of service.
“Paul has stepped into executive leadership in the way we knew he would from our experience working with him as trustee of our hospital and foundation boards,” said Carol Friesen, vice president, health system services for Bryan Health. “His understanding and commitment to Merrick Medical Center’s major initiatives and the community’s vision for the future of Central City make him the ideal person to lead the organization on its amazing journey to a new replacement hospital and clinic.”
Clark holds a bachelor’s degree from Faulkner University in Montgomery, Ala., and juris doctorate degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. He moved to Central City in 2013 where he practiced law and served as the city attorney for Central City, St. Paul and Palmer, Neb.
