Bryan Health Receives Workplace of the Year Award from The Advisory Board Company

Lincoln, NE – Bryan Health has been awarded The Advisory Board Company’s 2016 Workplace of the Year Award, an annual distinction that recognizes hospitals and health systems nationwide that have outstanding levels of employee engagement. This marks the fourth consecutive year Bryan Health has received this recognition.

“Being an employer of choice is something that we strive for every day, so to receive this kind of recognition as a Workplace of the Year from The Advisory Board Company is very exciting,” said Jan Garvin, vice president of human resources at Bryan Health. “This award confirms to us that we have highly engaged and committed employees delivering outstanding care to our patients every day. It’s a privilege to be associated with an organization and culture that attracts and retains the very best talent.”

Engaged employees, as defined by The Advisory Board Company, are those who exhibit both loyalty and commitment to the organization. These employees are willing to expend extra effort, often going above and beyond to help the organization succeed. The award recognizes Bryan Health’s commitment to creating a best-in-class work environment for its employees.

“Engaging the workforce is arguably more important now than ever before, with all signs indicating that, nationwide, we are heading into a staffing shortage,” said Steven Berkow, executive director, Survey Solutions at The Advisory Board Company. “With a significant portion of the workforce retiring in the coming years, hospitals and health systems must be laser-focused on engaging their staff. Our award winners have demonstrated an impressive ability to inspire the highest levels of engagement across the country while maintaining remarkably low levels of disengagement.”

Bryan Health is one of twenty organizations in the nation to be named as a Workplace of the Year by The Advisory Board Company. Bryan Health employs over 4,000 individuals that care for the people of Nebraska and surrounding states.
