Bryan Health and Mary Lanning Partner for New Cardiology Clinic

Bryan Health and Mary Lanning Healthcare have, through a joint venture, established a new, full-service cardiology clinic. Bryan Heart Mary Lanning Cardiology will offer a full array of services, 24/7.

“Bryan Heart is committed to the Hastings community, and this new venture, with our partners at Mary Lanning, will give patients more options to receive exceptional cardiac and vascular care without having to leave the area,” said Keith Miller, MD, executive medical director, Bryan Heart.

Pradipta Chaudhuri, MD has joined Bryan Heart and returns to practice in Hastings effective March 3. Dr. Chaudhuri will initially cover the practice two weeks each month, with the other two weeks served by Bryan Heart cardiologists Mathue Baker, MD; Matthew Johnson, MD; Joseph Kummer, MD; Keith Miller, MD and Todd Tessendorf, MD. Dr. Chaudhuri plans to be in Hastings full-time within 18 months.

Dr. Chaudhuri will perform a full spectrum of procedures at Mary Lanning including TEE, catheterization, pacemakers, defibrillators and stress echocardiograms. Bryan Heart is actively recruiting a full-time interventional cardiologist to join Dr. Chaudhuri. In addition, Bryan Heart cardiothoracic surgeon Richard Thompson, MD is conducting an outreach clinic in Hastings once per month.

“I look forward to returning to Hastings, a community that I’ve grown very attached to, and working with the exceptional team at Bryan Heart to serve the heart care needs of the region”, said Dr. Chaudhuri.

“Mary Lanning Healthcare is pleased to formalize, through this new joint venture, our historically strong relationship with Bryan Health. We share a philosophy of Nebraska ownership and decision making,” said Eric Barber, President and CEO. “We’re also excited to welcome Dr. Chaudhuri back to Hastings.”

Dr. Chaudhuri received his medical degree from Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College in 1986. His internship and residency were completed at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, West Virginia and his Fellowship was at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.
