Below is a list of areas you can volunteer in at Bryan Heatlh. Read through the descriptions and see what best fits you!
- OFFICE SUPPORT SERVICES
Numerous office environments within Bryan need volunteers to assist them with accomplishing various tasks such as filing, data entry, answering the telephone, etc. Office assistant, receptionist and special project opportunities are available.
- DISTRIBUTION SERVICES
Volunteers play a key role in making sure that our patients, guests and staff have items they need – a magazine that guests read while waiting for their loved one, a card patients receive from a well-wisher, a freshly baked cookie offered to visitors.
- FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES
Waiting for a loved one can be a stressful time and where fifteen minutes can feel like hours. Volunteers who serve in Bryan waiting rooms can help alleviate this stress by being the friendly face that welcomes them, letting them know what to expect while waiting and provide information about the Medical Center.
- HANDCRAFT SERVICES
Not all services provided to our guests need to be completed at the Medical Center. Many volunteers can showcase their handy work by making pillows, tray favors and special sewing projects.
- INFORMATION SERVICES
Volunteers are vital in providing our patients, families, guests and staff with valuable information that will make their stay at Bryan the best it can be. Most information positions provide volunteers the opportunity to expand their current customer service skills.
- PATIENT SUPPORT SERVICES
Patient support volunteers have the opportunity to enhance the patient/family experience while they are at the Medical Center by focusing their attention on the non-medical needs of our guests. The opportunities are endless and most are great for individuals thinking about entering or studying in the medical field as valuable experience can be obtained by interacting with patients and nursing staff.
- PATIENT TRANSPORATION SERVICES
Making sure our patients, families and visitors get to their destination is very important in a large medical facility. Many of the positions available provide volunteers the opportunity to achieve the recommended 10,000 steps a day.
