Tips for Maintaining Good Mental Health
Get Professional Help Everyone can feel low, anxious or unable to cope from time to time. These are all normal responses to life's challenges. However, if these feelings happen often and for weeks at a time, you should seek professional support. Asking for help is a sign of strength and can be the first step to solving a problem.
Get Involved Don't stand on the sidelines! Find a way to get involved and make a contribution, however little, at home, at work or in the community. People are often happiest when helping others.
Get Plenty of Sleep Not getting enough sleep can make you feel tired, overwrought and run down. It can also make you more prone to mental health problems. Set a goal to get at least eight hours of sleep a night. You will notice the benefits in as little as a few days.
