A Year of Excitement, Learning and Endless Rewards
It’s my one-year anniversary of being at Bryan LifePointe MedSpa!
Here is what the Queen of Baby Steps has learned: Moving an established practice to a new facility is challenging….but rewarding!
Things are really coming together! I have enjoyed spending time with loyal and new customers, reading journals and attending three national meetings.
Here is what I am learning:
- Micro-Needling is becoming even more popular in the Midwest. This is a procedure where tiny needles are used on the skin while infusing anti-aging, skin tightening, anti-oxidants and pigmentations serums deep into the epidermis. Results are apparent after the first treatment. I like patients to use SkinCeutical’s CE Ferulic following the treatment.
- Combination Peels now range in a variety of peeling agents. These chemicals are applied to the skin, the old cells then flake off allowing new skin to regenerate. What a great way to brighten/freshen your skin after summer sun (or the addition of more birthdays)! The advantage to these peels is that they are effective, yet gentle enough on your skin that you don’t even have to stay home to recover – you can continue your busy life as usual. As always, it is very important to wear sun screen to protect your skin following a chemical peel.
This month’s special, The Melanage MiniPeel, is one of the best procedures for brightening and correcting summer’s discoloration. Because of the chemical combination in this peel, it has a reduced risk of post-inflammatory discoloration.
A very happy addition to Lifepointe Spa: Carol Schmidt was brought by the Birthday Fairy into my life to take on the huge job as our Spa & Med Spa Manager. She infuses her excitement, energy, ideas and experience into our environment with many great ideas to make LifePointe’s Spa experience right up there with what you would expect at the Vegas Bellagio. Together we share a mission for quality service. She is a winner and we all will benefit with her addition to the crew.
I want to thank everyone I’ve had the pleasure of working with this year. I look forward to continuing to see you, as well as my new patients, and helping you find the best treatments for your skin type, lifestyle and goals.
