Bryan Health and Lincoln Track Club Join Forces to Create Bryan Health Capital City Classic

Lincoln, NE – Bryan Health and the Lincoln Track Club are joining forces to create a new community event, the Bryan Health Capital City Classic, to be held on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 3 p.m. at the Nebraska State Capitol.

“We are extremely excited to team up with the Lincoln Track Club and offer this event that has something for everyone – a kids’ run, a 5K run/walk and a competitive 15K run,” said Bob Ravenscroft, vice president for advancement at Bryan Health. “We always strive to partner with fellow organizations in our community to promote health and wellness. This new event will provide another opportunity for people in southeast Nebraska to continue to be healthy and active in all aspects of their lives.”

The Bryan Health Capital City Classic replaces the Bryan Health Run to Overcome and the Lincoln Track Club Governor’s Cup. This new event will feature a one-mile kids’ run, 5K run/walk and 15K run that will begin and end at the Nebraska State Capitol. The races will all be timed and are designed to appeal to a wide range of ages and skill levels. Proceeds will benefit mental health education and awareness. More than 1,000 individuals are expected to participate in the inaugural event.

“The Lincoln Track Club has a 41-year history of delivering high quality running events for the benefit of the Lincoln community. Likewise, Bryan Health has a long history of promoting wellness and mental health awareness in this region,” said Glen Moss, president of the Lincoln Track Club. “We are excited to announce a unique partnership of these two organizations and create the newly minted Bryan Health Capital City Classic for individuals of all experience levels.”

The Bryan Health Capital City Classic is being presented by Bryan Health, the Lincoln Track Club, ArtFX and The Kim Foundation. For more information and to register for the race, please visit
