Gene Stohs, MD, Elected Chair of BryanLGH Medical Center Board of Trustees

May 3, 2011 -- Gene Stohs, MD, has been elected Chair of the BryanLGH Medical Center Board of Trustees. Dr. Stohs has served as Vice-Chair of the Board since 2009 and is the first physician to be elected Board Chair.

Dr. Stohs, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology certified since 1981, has served on the BryanLGH Medical Staff for 32 years. He served as Chief of the Medical Staff from 2006-2007.
Dr. Stohs graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 1972 and received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska School of Medicine - Omaha in 1975.
He holds teaching appointments at UNMC and the Lincoln Medical Education Partnership. He has been a Fellow of the American College of OB-GYN since 1982.
Dr. Stohs continues to practice OB/GYN at his office in Williamsburg Village.
