Richard Thompson, MD, graduated from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, in 1999 and completed a research fellowship and general surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, N.C., and a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.
Dr. Thompson is Board certified in general surgery and thoracic surgery; before moving to Lincoln, he practiced in Lancaster, Pa.
He has published many manuscripts and abstracts and presented at numerous national and international meetings. Dr. Thompson also is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Chest Physicians.
