BryanLGH's Crete Area Medical Center joins the American Nursing Association in recognizing America's 2.9 million registered nurses dedicated to saving lives and maintaining the health of millions of individuals throughout the United States.
On May 6, the nurses at CAMC and Wilber Medical Clinic could earn continuing education credits and be inspired by speaker, Jeff Doucette, MS, RN. The purpose of the program was to advance the knowledge of the value of work-life balance and humor in the healthcare setting.
"Our nurses strive to give our patients the best possible care," said Carol Friesen, CAMC president and CEO. "Our nursing staff is often recognized by patients for their excellent care, kindness, compassion and ability to comfort those we serve."
CAMC is proud to have these "everyday heroes" dedicated to making a difference in the community and in the lives of those they serve by providing compassionate and exceptional care.
Annually, National Nurses Week begins on May 6, marked as RN Recognition Day, and ends on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, founder of nursing as a modern profession.
